A cool front blew in last night, so it finally feels like Halloween. I miss the Halloweens when the kids were young, and I spent most of October sewing costumes for them. Ordinarily I like to travel to a new city, see new sites. Las Vegas (in my opinion) is the exception to that rule. There's always something new to see. Here I am, sitting at the airport waiting to start another California adventure. This time I will be going to Riverside and staying at the historic Mission Inn. It was built as a boarding house in 1876 and was designated as a historic landmark in 1977. Several wings have been added over the years, including the Cloister, the Spanish Wing, and the Rotunda Wing. The oldest bell in Christendom (dated 1247) is currently housed at the Mission Inn.
