World Lion Day - Lion Dog Toy Crochet Pattern

World Lion Day - Lion Dog Toy Crochet Pattern

The lion is one of the most recognizable and most loved animals in the world. From the artwork of ancient Egypt to coats of arms of European countries to present day movies, the lion has represented royalty, strength, and even the supernatural. Hollywood often depicts lions as man eaters. Although not common, there have been documented cases of lions hunting man. For crafters, the lion is a common theme and so much fun to make. I recently made a Lion Toy for my pug Bruno. He loves to play tug of war, so I added a handle to the bottom...

Triceratops Baby Rainbow Crochet Pattern

I was recently challenged to design a rainbow amigurumi for Pride Month. Until I started googling, I had no idea there were so many amigurumi animals done in a rainbow theme. The frill on the neck of a triceratops is a perfect place to put a rainbow, and the beautiful colors make this cute little guy more of a baby rather than a fierce predator. What do you think? Just look at that cute little face!   Triceratops Baby measures approximately 11” long (including tail) by 5” tall. Gauge: 4 sc = 1”, 4 rows = 1”   Materials:Worsted weight...

We left New York a year later to return to my home state of Texas, but I think of her often, especially now with the horrible events...

Valentine's Day Bat Amigurumi

Valentine's Day Bat Amigurumi

Is everyone ready for the cold weather that is about to sweep over most of the United States? My pantry is stocked, and I have plenty of firewood, so I'm ready for some cozy crochet time. It's February, so it's time to work on Valentine's Day gifts. One of my bat patterns from Halloween is still a consistent download, so I came up with a cute little bat with heart-shaped wings and heart-shaped ears. This little sweetie only takes a few hours (I made one in an evening) and will make the perfect gift for your littles or for your...
