Electric Waves Plague Mask Crochet Pattern for Halloween

Alternate black and white yarn to make a wavy pattern on the beak of this plague mask. You'll definitely win for the most unique costume this Halloween! Detailed instructions using cotton worsted weight yarn covers the entire face with two holes for the eyes and a beaked nose (with enough room to insert a filter if desired). Two straps are crocheted on the sides of the mask and button in the back.

Masks made according to this pattern are not medical grade masks and are not FDA approved. They are intended to be used as part of a Halloween costume or for a costume party.

I Love This Cotton yarn:
1 oz. white
1 oz. black
1.5 oz. red (MC)
Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook for small, Size H (5.0 mm) for medium mask
Yarn needle
Stitch markers
3 buttons 3/4” to 7/8”

Sizing Info:
Small - From right strap to left across eyes is 8". Top center to bottom is 7.5". Distance between eye sockets 2.25". Eye hole is 1" across.
Medium - Across eyes is 8.25". Top center to bottom is 8.5". Distance between eye sockets 2.33".
